The Hodgeman County Health Department now has an adequate supply of H1N1 flu vaccine to offer the H1N1 vaccine to everyone in our community. Please call the Health Department at (620) 357-8736 to make an appointment and reserve a dose of vaccine. The vaccine will be given free at the Health Department.
The vaccine is remarkably effective in preventing disease, almost perfectly matched to protect us against the target virus. And new data show that the H1N1 vaccine is also incredibly safe.
Pregnant women, children and those with chronic medical conditions remain the priority groups for vaccination, but the Health Department now has an adequate supply to expand availability to everyone who wants it.
